Retreat to Nepal – 20th November – 25th November 2026

Limitless Mind: Tap Into Your Infinite Potential
Through guided meditations, teachings and discussions, set against the breathtaking backdrop of the majestic Himalayas, we’ll explore the vast space and clarity within our minds. Discover how to tap into your limitless potential and awaken your extraordinary human capabilities, unlocking the power to live with greater clarity, purpose and freedom.

After many years of planning, we are delighted to invite you to join us for the first Mindspace Retreat to Nepal, a six-day mindful meditation retreat at the premier, scenic hill station of Nagarkot, renowned for its panoramic, sweeping views of the Himalayan range. You’ll be able to enjoy stunning sunrise and sunset views, including glimpses of Mount Everest on clear days. This will be a quiet retreat away from the bustling city, with hiking trails, nature, and nearby cultural sites.

Adam, the retreat leader, handpicked this location from many areas in Nepal and has this to say about the spot:

Everyone is welcome, whether you are a beginner to meditation or have been practicing for many years.

Welcome to Club Himalaya, Nagarkot
(A Luxury Hotel in a Premier Himalayan Hill Station)

Could there be a better location in the world than Nepal for a Meditation Retreat? Known as the ‘Roof of the World’ or the ‘Land of the Himalayas’. A country famous for its laid back atmosphere, rich spiritual traditions, friendly people and breathtaking nature.

This retreat offers you the opportunity to explore this incredible destination while deepening your experience of Meditation. The schedule allows for relaxed Meditation sessions, and between these sessions, you can rejuvenate and unwind using the onsite facilities or exploring the nearby treks and sacred sites.

Be inspired by the sunrise and sunset over the Himalayas from the rooftop of the Hotel or relax in the comfort of your room, with private balcony, all offering views over the breathtaking mountain range, on some days you can catch a view of Mount Everest. You can also enjoy the indoor heated swimming pool, and sample the delicious Nepal food three times a days at the sympathetically designed open restaurant,

Additionally, there are opportunities during the afternoon breaks (see timetable)  between sessions to partake in light excursions to local sites.

During the afternoon break-time there is plenty of opportunity to relax at the hotel, or partake in a walking tour with a local guide, learn how to make Momo with a Nepali chef, or for those thrill seekers going out on quad bike in the local area. Please note some of these extras will requite a payment directly with the hotel and booking a few days before the activity.

At Club Himalaya, it’s a cherished tradition to gather on the hotel’s rooftop each evening at sunset. Guests come together to witness the breathtaking view of the Himalayas as the sun sets, all while enjoying a warm cup of masala chai and relishing the local delicacy, Sel Roti, a traditional Nepalese bread.

Your Journey

HOME AIRPORT – KATHMANDU – CAR/MINI-VAN/JEEP TO CLUB HIMALAYA

There are plenty of options for flights from the UK to Kathmandu, with airlines like Qatar Airways, Emirates, Turkish Airlines, and Air India. You can check platforms like Kayak or Flight Scanner for the best options.

If you’re part of the The Great Meditation Trail Retreat and also attending the Thai Retreat that starts three days after this one, there are budget flights available from Kathmandu to Bangkok. The flight takes around three and a half hours, and if you’re lucky with the weather, you’ll get some spectacular views of the Himalayas! Make sure to request a window seat on the right for the best views.

Upon arriving in Kathmandu, you can spend a few days exploring the city before heading to the Club Himalaya, or if you prefer, you can transfer directly from the airport to the retreat location. If you need recommendations for places to visit in Kathmandu or suggestions on where to stay, please join the Nepal WhatsApp group (details below).

When you arrive in Kathmandu, it’s a 32 km drive to Club Himalaya. The journey takes you through the Kathmandu Valley and into the foothills of the Himalayas, offering scenic views on the way to Nagarkot, where your retreat will take place.

Transfers to Club Himalaya:

  • The transfer to Club Himalaya from Kathmandu Airport (or your hotel) can be arranged directly with the hotel before your arrival.

    • Car for 2 persons: $68 each way

    • MiniVan for 6-11 persons: $90 each way
(Please note that rates increase slightly for a night pick-up.)

  • Alternatively, you can travel independently using another taxi service from your hotel or the airport. If you’re on a budget and looking for a bit of a local adventure, you can even take a public bus!

Arriving at Club Himalaya:

When you arrive at Club Himalaya, you’ll have time to settle into your room, relax, and get ready for your six-day meditation retreat.

The journey to the retreat, the people you meet along the way, and everything you experience will only make your time at the retreat even more powerful and transformative.

Kathmandu Tips

Accommodation Options in Kathmandu

Kathmandu offers a wide variety of accommodation options to suit every traveler’s needs. Thamel, a busy and vibrant tourist area, is where most visitors stay. It’s filled with guest houses, shops, cafes, and is also the starting point for many trekkers heading into the mountains.

If you’re looking for a mix of luxury and history, The Yak & Yeti is an iconic hotel just outside Thamel. This hotel offers a perfect blend of history, Nepali culture, and modern comfort, making it a great choice for both relaxation and convenience.

For a more spiritual experience, consider staying near Boudhanath Stupa, where you can find Tibetan Buddhist monasteries that offer accommodation or have guest houses attached. Staying here allows you to immerse yourself in Tibetan culture and experience life within a peaceful, spiritual environment.

Top Tourist Sites in Kathmandu

Kathmandu is rich with historic and spiritual landmarks that are well worth a visit. Some of the main attractions include:

  • Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple)

  • Boudhanath Stupa

  • Pashupatinath Temple

  • Kathmandu Durbar Square

  • Patan Square (Lalitpur)

  • Bhaktapur Durbar Square

  • Garden of Dreams

  • Kopan Monastery

  • Narayanhiti Palace Museum

  • Budhanilkantha Temple

Getting Around Kathmandu

Public transportation in Kathmandu is somewhat limited, so it’s a good idea to arrange transportation in advance. I recommend asking your hotel to recommend a reliable taxi driver or arranging a private car to take you around the key sites. This way, you can explore Kathmandu comfortably and without any hassle.
