How we can bring happiness and joy into every moment
The Hermitage located in Cannock Chase provides you with a peaceful space where you can explore the mind. Set in a beautiful part of the chase surrounded by blissful woodland this venue is ideally situated for a day’s retreat. Take a deep breath, let go, rest and recharge your mind on one of our upcoming retreat days. All retreats are suitable for beginners who wish to deepen their experience of Mindful Meditation. The pink arrows below lead you the exact location which is circled in pink.
Reflections Retreat, Little Hayes, Beaudesert Park, Cannock Wood WS15 4JJ, United Kingdom
The retreat is within, what was once, the grounds of a minor “stately home”, and is reached by a private road leading to the Beaudesert Park Camp for young people. Most SatNavs (but not all!) using the postcode WS15 4JJ will bring you onto that road where there are signs to the house; “Little Hayes and the Reflection Gardens” and “Reflections at Little Hayes” at the entrance to our drive. Please park using the marked spaces on the drive.
With Google maps, type in “Reflections Retreat”.
Check your route before departure with these instructions, ensure that SatNav will take you to the correct location. If any issues use the directions of the main entrance to Beaudesert Camp as your guide.
By public transport The best way is to take the local bus 62 from either Lichfield City or Hednesford train stations. There is an hourly service; ask for the stop in Cannock Wood Village, Hayfield Hill, use Google Maps to navigate your way to the venue around a one mile walk.
Guided by Adam Dacey with rich experience of guiding day, week, and month retreats in the UK, Europe and Asia. All those who attend will take home a deeper experience of Meditation along with practices they can continue with at home.

“I would recommend this day for anyone who is living a frantic life, feels like they are on a fast never-ending roller coaster ride and just wants to get off but not sure how to stop it. The venue for the day is perfect; within the grounds of Cannock Chase, beautifully tranquil, the speaker Adam; exudes peace and calm both of which sets the scene for the whole day. You will come away relaxed with a variety of Mindfulness meditation techniques to introduce you gently to understanding the beneficial effects of practicing mindful meditation and then it is up to you how you intend to use this awakened awareness and how you may wish to share this, this is not one to be kept as a secret.“
“If you are worried that a ‘retreat’ involved walking barefoot, chiming bells and vegetarianism then do not fear. Adam’s grounded approach shares the value of meditation for everyone. In a world that doesn’t stop the best thing that you can do is slow yourself down.”

This is my second retreat with Adam and they are just wonderful. An opportunity to retreat from the world, take time to look inwards and just breath. The group feels comfortable and gentle. Adam’s guided meditations are meaningful and focussed and allow you to just float away. Bliss! Already looking forward to my next one.
