La Chiara di Prumiano, Chianti, Tuscany, Italy (A forty-five minute drive into the Chianti hills from Florence and Sienna, a one hour drive from Pisa)

Sometimes we need to get away from it all and let go!  This six-day guided mindfulness retreat will provide this opportunity.

In one of the most beautiful environments imaginable, you will have the chance to rest, refresh, renew and uplift your mind.

We’ll explore mindful meditation practices that will help us access the deep joy and bliss that resides within our mind.

The retreat will be held within a charming, historic Tuscan villa, with its own vegetable garden, lush grounds and beautiful vistas.  See photos below.

Spend a relaxing time uplifting the mind and prioritising peace and bringing happiness to the heart of your life.

For some people this will be their first time on a residential retreat, others will have some experience.  Either way you are warmly invited.

The retreat will be delivered at a slow, relaxed pace, perfectly suited to this part of the world, where there is a big culture based around ‘slow living’ and ‘slow food’.

On this Retreat to Tuscany you will have a very laid-back time, where you can take a well deserved rest from the endless activity and stress of modern life.

Offer yourself the gift of serenity and peace.  Suitable for all and gently guided by experienced meditation teacher and founder of Mindspace, Adam Dacey.  Adam has over twenty seven years of experience guiding meditation retreats across the world, he will create a peaceful, relaxed environment for you to have the best time imaginable!

TRANSPORT
Tips and Suggestions

Flights
The closest airport to the Retreat is Florence. You can also explore flights to Pisa, which is the next closest airport.  It takes around forty minutes to arrive at the retreat by car from Florence Airport.  There are daily flights leaving from London and Birmingham airports. East Midlands has a direct flight to Pisa.
Birmingham flies to Florence with a brief change at Frankfurt.

Drive
If you wish to drive I suggest using RentalCars prior to departure to reserve your car which you can then collect at the airport.  I took this option last time I visited and it worked very well.

Bus
You can take a bus from Florence Airport to Sita, the main bus station in front of Santa Maria Novella Railway Station in Central Florence.  Then take the bus from to Barberino Val D’Elsa and get off at Bar La Pineta, the ride is about one hour (cost 3/4 Euros).  When you arrive at the bus stop someone from the retreat will be able to organise a shuttle for you (£5) to bring you to the retreat location.

For bus timetables in Italy I use Google Maps, you can see live timetables from Florence, type in your desitnation and it can give you details of the next bus.

Taxi
It is possible to take a taxi to the retreat and it costs approximately 80-90 Euros
The retreat centre can do that for you, they speak English and can help communicate your request in Italian to the taxi company, contact them via email here.

Shuttle
If you are travelling with a large group and arrive together at Florence airport then please email Marco Lopatto.

Travelling Alone
Some people will be travelling alone to the retreat, it will be a great adventure!   We have a discussion WhatsApp Group for the Tuscan retreat. This is your opportunity to discuss your trip to Tuscany, share contact and travel information, organize shared transport, make new friends, let people know that you’re going, find a travel buddy, maybe even share helpful Italian phrases.  Introduce yourselves and have a wonderful trip! In 2019 a group of attendees who were travelling alone organised to go together on a flight via this group so it can come in handy if you would like. Let me know here with your mobile number if you would like to join this group.

Refunds

Any cancellations before February 28th are entitled to a complete refund. Post February 28th  if you need to cancel, unfortunately you will be not be eligible to any refund, unless your place can be taken by another person. Apologies but this is due the contract that we have with the venue.

Reviews from 2019 Tuscan Retreat.

It has been incredible and beneficial to have been able to meditate around five hours a day – both the guided and unguided sessions. I learned so much more about patience, compassion and just being here – together – the talks within the group making us realise we all share similar experiences ‘we are all in the same boat.’ The peaceful and stunning beautiful surroundings, gardens, vineyards, olive groves, certainly impacted on ones mood – state of mind – very grateful to have been offered this chance to be here. The house is beautiful and the people who welcomed us, gave us all their attention and care – the food was so delicious cooked with loving care and creative dishes made us eat three times a day, even though not hungry. Most of it organically grown, so extra tasty!! Lovely walks and talks, stunning reviews, sparkling people – fabulous rooms and meditation room. Thanks Adam for organising this making it happen. Leaving now with renewed energy and intention ( a little sad to go) but with a peaceful mind – will be back.

Elsa - 2019 Retreat

A good mix of guided and unguided meditation. Reinforced the Mindspace+ classes. Useful analogies, simple mantras, room for mindfulness. Joy and calm.

A lovely setting for a mindfulness retreat. I feel privileged to have experienced this. I have a stronger intent to be so disciplined about practicing mindfulness not just as a sitting down meditation but on everyday life. I have learnt a lot from being with a wise mindfulness teacher and some wise people. I look forward to the next retreat. Grazie mille Adam. Arriverderci

As a newcomer to the practice of meditation I can’t express how helpful this retreat has been/
A number of factors have made this one of the most fulfilling of my life. The indescribable scenery, the fresh air, the delicious (truly delicious) food. The generous hosts. The comfortable beds. The fantastic wine. The history of the villa.
But the most wondrous part has been the meditation themselves. With a group of open hearted and open minded people , we have all gone on a journey with Adam, unblocking many obstacles which perhaps we hadn’t realised were there, working through them and getting to the other side. As mentioned as it has been at time I feel like I’m ready to get back to my world because Ive got the right tools to help me deal with challenges and live a life of true contentment. Thank you Adam. 🙂
