Amazing retreat

Perfect location, beautiful scenery, hotel was lovely, the staff were very kind & the food was delicious. Adam lead lots of very insightful sessions & tought us so much over the weekend. We came back feeling very relaxed & full of compassion. We will definitely be attending the next retreat, i highly reccomrnd it!

A very peaceful weekend

A very thought provoking and peaceful weekend spent at Glenthorne Quaker guesthouse at Grassmere, with Adam Dacey leading the meditation, Adam is a quiet man but with a lovely quirky sense of humour. The evening meals were absolutely superb, some of the best food I have ever tasted served quickly and efficiently., all staff especially reception were efficient and eager to please. This was my second visit and I certainly hope I will return.

Awe inspiring

What a wonderfully relaxing weekend surrounded by majestic hills. It really gave me a chance to relax into compassionate meditation with like- minded souls. The meals were second to none and the free time to explore locally was very welcome. I felt at home straight away and Adam was a calming guide with lots of wisdom.

Safe Haven at Glenthorne

In difficult times, the 2020 Mindspace retreat at Glenthorne provided fine space and time to reflect.

Although we may not hear news of it, every moment there are many people across our planet engaged in peaceful and positive actions. Through establishing our Zen Meditation practice on this weekend retreat, we confidently become one of them and have a life which will influence and shape a more meaningful world for everyone to enjoy. We sit with an open, compassionate mind. Through being mindful of our posture and mental flow, we enjoy awareness in our daily activities. Being fully present, naturally, the stress, anxiety and worry in our life will pacify and dissolve. As we sit, we wake up to the present moment. Based on Adams new book with the same title.

Guided Walking Meditations
An uplifting weekend of mindful walking.A unique opportunity to enjoy the practice of mindful walking in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Mindful walking strengthens our ability to be present while enhancing our appreciation of nature, helping us to cultivate confidence, positivity, and inspiration. (To get the most out of the weekend a reasonable level of walking fitness is required as some of the sessions will take place outside in nature. Some of the walking sessions will take place inside and be at a very slow pace. See timetable for structure of this weekend.)

Take a break from the stress of modern life, experience inner peace, calm and stress relief on this unique Mindfulness and Meditation retreat.

Spending a weekend retreat practising Mindfulness and Meditation whilst enjoying the beauty of the Lake District in friendly, like-minded company will refresh, recharge and rejuvenate your body and mind.

The weekend will reveal a variety of Guided Mindfulness practices which we will engage in together and provide the opportunity to practice Mindful Walking in the surrounding countryside.

Following the retreat, you will have resources to continue your practice at home. Retreat guided by Adam Dacey.
