Dear friends,
I hope you are well and settling into the winter season. This month there are several notices to share, which may interest you.
Firstly, with the festive period rapidly approaching, there is the opportunity to purchase your nearest and dearest a Mindspace Gift Voucher. You can choose the amount and decide what gift to offer. It could be a book, one day retreat, eight-week beginners course, or even silent retreat. Giving a Mindspace experience of inner peace and stillness is definitely a present with a difference! Find out more about the Mindspace Gift Voucher here.
Secondly, during November, Mindspace in Prisons was launched, giving prisoners and staff working in prisons the opportunity to read the beginners book, Guide to the Mindful Way of Life. Following reading the books, if there is interest, there will be the opportunity to take an eight week, in-person Mindful course delivered in prison. The first prison will be HMP Oakwood, one of the largest prisons in the UK. They’ve received twenty-two books for the prisoners to read. I’ll be going in person to give an introduction in late January. If you would like to sponsor a book to be sent into prison, thereby supporting this work, you can do so here. Also if you know anyone who is currently in prison, or works within the prison service and think they would benefit, please get in touch.
Looking forward to the New Year, the Mindspace term starts week beginning January 24th, in Sutton, Tettenhall, Solihull, and online. There will be a new beginners course – the New Year being the ideal time to learn how to train in Mindful Meditation; and a new Mindspace+ course where we explore for the first time, the theme, Guide to the Joyful Way of Life.
With best wishes for the month ahead,
Adam Dacey
