When we are training in gratitude, at any moment during the day, we can bring this precious attitude to mind.

Gratitude requires creative thinking, a mindful awareness, and an ability to transcend the influence of ego.

We don’t just use gratitude as an antidote to negativity; we can use it as a mental vehicle to influence our mind at all times.

Whether we are fortunate or not, whether we are lucky or not whether we are happy or not, does not depend on our external circumstances.

Rather it depends on our mental attitude and in particular the extent to which we can bring gratitude to the forefront of our experience.

The experience of gratitude is available for us continuously. The more we can remember and allow ourselves to be governed by this mind, the less emotionally dependent we will be on others. As a consequence, our relationships strengthen and improve.
