And my mind is like the ocean.
During this time of year, there can be a lot of distraction and busyness; this evening will give you the chance to step back from this and take a breather. Through this evening Zen, you will give yourself the opportunity to sit in stillness and peace.
Mindspace’s new retreat venue in South Staffordshire is located with Baggeridge Park, a country park and nature reserve, a perfect location for such a retreat.
Format
Each session of mindful meditation lasts for one hour and follows this format.
Twenty Five Minute Silent Meditation – Ten Minute Walking Meditation – Twenty-Five Minute Silent Meditation.
Please note there is no teaching or guided meditation in these sessions. You will have the opportunity to guide yourself and thereby gain a deeper experience of mindful meditation. During the sessions, a bell will ring every five minutes to help keep you in the present moment.
There will be a chance between sessions over refreshments in an informal setting to discuss technique etc.
Please bring something vegetarian to contribute towards the shared supper and refreshments between sessions; anything you think will be tasty to share with the group.

7.30pm Introduction & Silent Meditation
Bring a contribution – ideally something home-made, vegetarian, and tasty!
There is a kitchen available for heating up food.
9.30-10.30pm: Session 1:
Silent Meditation, Walking meditation, Silent meditation.
11.15-12.15pm: Session 2:
Silent Meditation – Walking Meditation, Silent Meditation through New Year.
Twelve Strikes of the Bell.
Finish with a small fire, sparklers and optional glass of mulled wine!
