One simple practice that you can engage in during the day is to simply bring your attention to the sensation of the breath.

Mindful breathing can help to bring your attention into the present moment, focus and pacify the stress and anxiety in your mind.

Bring all your focus to its flow.

As you dwell with the breathe, imagine as you breathe out that you let go of all the stress, tension and distraction in your mind.

At any point during the day if you are finding it difficult to focus; pause.  Then imagine as you breathe out, you let go of all distraction, believing you are becoming free from it.  Then as you breathe in, come into focus and presence.

When you have less distraction and more focus in your mind, what you can accomplish is extraordinary.
