An integral, essential part of a mindfulness training is bringing ourself into the present moment by becoming aware of our body.
To do this we notice the movement of the breath in our body. The breath is naturally occurring, we don’t need to force or change it. We simply observe the natural sensation.
When the breath passes through the body there is a movement of the chest, a natural rising and falling.
Draw your attention to this process and be brought into the present.
This training grounds us into our body and consequently into the present.
When we experience stress if we do this practice, we will notice the effects immediately.
The training can be done in many locations and even when we are walking around.
