10 Steps to Mindful Eating

      1. Sit down and relax with your food
      2. Take a few breaths to bring you into the present
      3. Smell your food and reflect where it has come from
      4. Take a little piece and experience the taste
      5. Eat and chew, very slowly and deliberately
      6. No need to rush, enjoy each moment and taste
      7. Experience the sensations as you chew and gradually swallow
      8. Reflect on the experience in your body and mind…pause
      9. Observe the mind that wishes to rush, let it come and go
      10. Repeat the above steps
