Chanting OM is one form of meditation. There are 1000’s of different types of meditation.
There are many practices that don’t require mantras or chanting.
Focusing on the breath, mindfulness, loving kindness.
Reciting mantras can help to focus and concentrate the mind – however we can gain that focus through other forms of meditation.
Its finding a meditation practice that suits you and gaining experience of it.
Then gradually over time you will experience the benefits of it.
